Again, not like JCP is the solution, but Blanco is DEFINITELY not the solution. Putting him at the top make absolutely zero sense.

How much is he making this year? And doesnt he have a player option for next year?

As personal as he took the Giants not signing him after his arm blew up, it will be interesting how ethical he is when he has the opportunity to rake the doggies over the coals for another year.

He obviously is a plant by Secret Agent Ned to screw up the Blue Crew's plans. Well done, Ned!

There is no evidence. Zero. Nada. Zilch. That Blanco can be that leadoff guy this year.

I would be more than happy to eat crow on this, warm, cold, fresh, whatever. But between Bam Bam's "influence" and Blanco's decidedly WMH mentality, I don't see it happening.

$10MM this year, player option for $8.5MM next year.

Almost makes Timmah look like a bargain...

After the last two starts, Timmah is looking like a bargain. But at $20+ mill per year, gonna take a lot more than the last two games to make him a bargain. But as BOB posted last night, maybe Timmah and Rags have figured something out as Timmah 3.0. That would be HUGE!

A top notch performance from Lincecum and the Giants last night. Tonight they have to find a way to keep the good vibes rolling through the yard. Vogelsong goes against Wainwright and Wainwright might be a little pissed after getting ripped the last time the Giants faced him in STL. Vogey just needs to do his thing and keep the team in the game until they Giants put that winning rally together. Should be a good one. Here we go...All in !

Picks to click.... Pence ...Posey...and the Panda man who might be loose now after finally getting HR #100 last night.

Go Giants !!

At this point, may as well give Craw the chance. A lot of us here have been clamoring for him to get his chance in years past, this might be the time.

Timmy isn't making $20M+ year.

OK, OK.

$17 mill for 2014

$18 mill for 2015

Still a lot of money for a guy who's ERA for 2012-2013 was 4.76, and a record of 20-29.

If he figures it out, like the last two games, and comes in above .500 with an ERA under 4 (under 3.50?), that would be a huge boost.
