Yes. But the problem became once you draft for votes you created group think that justified all of these misconceptions.

I understand your gripe, but to be fair my team sported 3 guys who at one time were MVP's and my 4th HOF was John Havlicek.

I understand you think Dantley didn't get the love he deserved, but my SG was also a guy who was a 6x allstar and had a career average of 20 PPG. You also said you though Nance was a better offensive player than McAdoo, which is just crazy. McAdoo was an MVP who averaged 30 ppg or more 3x in his career, while Nance topped 20 ppg just twice in his career. Havlicek was also an 8x all defense player and 13x Allstar. He's better than Dantley.

Norm Nixon averaged 15.8 and 8.3 for his career, who was miles better than Terry Porter. And Daugherty (career 19.0 and 9.5) was exponentially better than your guy Tree Rollins (5.4 and 5.8).

My first half lineup destroys yours and I don't think it's close.

Don’t get enough love - Dantley, Barkley, Nique

Get too much love - Maravich, Magic,

Agree about Barkley and dantley. Would actually put Nique in the too much love category.

I think Nique is boreerline, some overvalue him and some are the opposite.

I think of him as KD-like. While is rebouding and assists numbers arent what KD has and obviously players have evolved with their 3 point shot he was an explosive scorer, athlete. He isn’t close to KD as an all-around player but hos type of game and the way it was played back then. I guess I could have left him off

Your right about mcadoo. Blame that on my homerism towards milk drafted teams.

And anything I say is not towards mine and your match. I don’t care about losing. This is basketball.

With that said I do think we tend to talk defense when it suits us and offense when it suits us.

Like how many times when someone drafts Michael Cooper does someone say well he can stop Michael Jordan so he is god. And I win because of his defense??

I totally agree with you on picking and choosing when to ignore or count certain aspects of the game. But Cooper, IMO, wasn't good for this draft. I don't think really any specialists were because it was a pretty thin draft.

In basketball, great offense always beats great defense. But if you're able to pair a good defensive player, with some upside as a scorer, that goes much further than maybe and offense only, or defense only player depending on who else you have around him.

Get too much love - Maravich, Magic...I’m sure there are more but particularly for this mock

If Maravich was healthy and had a supporting cast he would have been one of the best scorers of all time. I guess if anyone over values him it's me but I think he's one of the greatest of all time...

His numbers would have went down most likely. A HOF’r but I dont think he is better than some of the guys you have him over...

Stop with he ifs. If ritz wasn’t so annoying Nosferatu would have never left. But you did leave. Just like pistol Pete couldn’t stay healthy. And just like he didn’t have support.

As much as I like the guy as a person I think Shaq gets to much love. Let's face it he did one thing better than anyone who ever played... Received the pass turned and ran over whoever was checking him and dunked the ball.

I never said any of that lollzz I just think having an all-time defender next to Magic and Nique helps out A LOT. Nobody is stopping MJ but if he can limit and make him take tough shots then great

That’s right, in his prime he was unstoppable but I think I rate him right where he is on the center list.

1a. Kareem
1b. Hakeem
2. Wilt
3. Shaq

Some have Wilt at 1 which I dont buy personally but I dont have Shaq in my top 3 centers

I think John Stockton is overrated. Still all time great. But his game was passing. It is nice to have a top 10 scorer of all time on your team when that’s your game.

But that's still a tangible skill against anyone in the NBA throughout history. I think it's easily translate-able because against any of the all-time bigs in history, he would/could do the same. He played against Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, etc and did it all to them as well as anyone else. He got double teamed, fouled hard, etc. He played through contact and wasn't soft. He is easily one of the most agile centers in NBA history too. He wasn't just some lumbering big. His footwork is impecable. That's how he got to his spots. It wasn't just that he used brute strength, his footwork is what put him over the top.
