Poor anticipation of the gameplan on D as far as our coaches are concerned. Poor execution on the O-Line's part, our supposed best in the nation. Kelly had best make some serious adjustments at the half if he even expects to make this a game. They're just going to load the box and dare Kizer to beat 'em. So far, we're playing right into it. So far, we're doing ZERO as a team to relieve that pressure off the young QB.

In other words... a typical display of Kelly's coaching. I hate this scheme with a serious passion. Zone-read is the only damned running play we have? Pardon me while I puke because that's just plain absurd.

Credit to Clemson's defense. They're playing a great game. But geez ND you pretty much spot them 14 to start the game catch the damn ball!

Well I don't think it's the worst call. They were practically at mid field. A botched snap or a sack and Watson has nearly a minute to try to add at least 3 more. Getting the ball to start the half probably factored into that. If Clemson were getting the ball I bet he would have gone for it.

I'm not. His nervousness is pervasive throughout the whole team. Bama goes into Georgia's house and doesn't come out acting scared or tentative... and Saban doesn't look it either.

We luckily have a window to get back into this game. But you're probably right, we need to make possessions count more, there's only so many we're going to get.

makes no sense to me. first it's 34 seconds left, not a minute ... and after the 4th down it would be much less. also .. why would who gets possession first in the second half matter? we gave away a chance to do something.
