The Mariners got Jarred Kelenic, who was just the 6th overall pick in the draft, and the Mets paid the entire contract for Cano. Just an unbelievable trade TBH.

Not saying that's what we should expect, though.
I'd be good with a haul like that for Smith and Longoria.

It's been my opinion since about 8 to 10 years before the Giants WS run that more World Series are lost because of bad bullpens than any other reason not that there aren't Series where even a great Bullpen won't save a team from losing. So with that said I hope there are some teams itching to overpay for some relief pitchers at the trade deadline.

The Giants are sitting very pretty in that regard this deadline. The lack of an August trade deadline helps too

In your opinion, how many bullpen pieces can FZ trade, and how many of them does he trade? Do you think he'l blow up the bullpen or just take chunks out of it?

Like I said, Rich Hill had the Giants held to the fire that inning. They were doomed from the moment Tyler Austin drew that walk. What was he thinking?

So if Longoria starts to hit better, and Will Smith is packaged with him, we could unload him for a prospect? I'm okay with that if the Giants keep Panda. Someone will need to play 3rd base. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to waste Smith's value on dumping Longoria (unless, of course, the other team took on the majority of what the Giants will owe on his contract too).

That's one of those deals where you rub your chin and wonder out loud does someone have some compromising Pictures. :pound:

I would trade every single one of them if you were able to get some value. Even Moronta. I think he'll end up trading three of them.

Do you think he'll feel the need to hold back some on dismantling this team to give Bochy a legitimate shot at 10th place on the all time wins for managers? The Giants already 15 games off the pace (based on winning percentage) so I hope that is not the case. This team is just not built to play 500 ball this year, much less winning baseball the rest of the season.

Time to do my @Stokes1931 impersonation:

Why did Bochy, once again, not give the bullpen a chance to start the inning clean?

And my @tzill impersonation:

Hollcrap is in. My Depends is full. Game over. See you all tomorrow. I'm out.

They HAVE to trade Smith. Dyson's value is at an all-time high. They at least have to trade them
