Craw, Belt and Pence with days off. I gotta say, I dont understand the strategy of giving the entire starting lineup an off day at the same time. Especially when the team is scapping and trying to break a streak.

Many years ago, I remember once a manager wrote his starters down on individual pieces of paper and then picked the batting order out of a hat.

So what if we had Posey leading off, and Aoki hitting cleanup? Get up there and hit the ball, and we will score runs. Don't hit the ball and we won't.

Sometimes I think too much emphasis is placed on the order, and not enough on just hitting the f'n ball.

He looks safe to me, but understand if they do not overturn. It was super close

Even though I thought he was safe, that was a bad decision by Aoki to run there. He is fast enough to score on just about any base hit anyway. The only thing he gains by stealing is scoring on a WP or PB. Nit enough good for the risk.

Yea. It is so weird how the Giants do tend to play badly in June. I seem to remember it being a thing way back in the Humm Baby years too.

I realize this is not the case every year, so please do not bust out the month-records for the last 20 years to show some other narrative. I am only talking about his it SEEMS.

The old, "June Swoon", to go along with the "June Gloom". I remember it being a pretty regular thing in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
