I have been on that kick since 2011. The hitters are not getting any better under him. Belt refused to adjust for a long time. Blanco will not be patient or hit it on the ground, he thinks he's Mickey Mantle. A few weeks ago I did a comparison of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014. In spite of our scoring runs for two months, we are actually hitting worse in 2014 than in any of those other years.

Guy is a good defensive OF. He is an OK bench guy. He is a disaster as a leadoff hitter. And seemingly unwilling to learn, or to adjust.

I'd sooner see Posey hitting leadoff. At least he sees pitches and has a decent OBP.

I've never understood the fans who said he can be an every day starter for multiple teams/great bench guy for us.

He is as you said good defensively, an alright bench guy.
