This team is scary-good .... I keep looking at a team that was sort of cobbled together with a few solid veterans and some real big question marks .... asking myself if this can can really be happening ... and they just continue to win .... and win .... and win.

Have to say .... for me this is more interesting than some of our WS runs .... I just never expected this team to play at this level .... I was hoping for a 500 season and see what happens after that .....

I fear the Phil’s series, though. Playing a good team after playing this crap team could be a bit of a shock to the system.

Team coming out of relative nowhere about 1 year before it was expected to be good.
Roster made up of cast-offs from other orgs.

Ah yes ... 2016 ... the fantastic start followed by a season and a half of some really bad baseball .... I never really understood the depth of that decline .... but you did sum up the reasons very well ... and yes ... it does resembele what we are seeing this year ...

And we were close to another deep run. Had the Cubs on the ropes then our crappy pen blew it. I think by playoff time this year if we make it FZ will have that fixed.
