Should we give Casilla a break because his wife was very pregnant? I say yes, and I will go out on a limb and say he will improve after he comes back from paternity leave.

From the box score Sammy's looking efficient. Does anyone know if they fixed/found a problem in his delivery?

oh, 2-7 risp w/2 out in 5th.
Per Gardy, he was rushing his delivery the last three starts. They worked on slowing down and getting a better leg kick.

Plus his last appearance he was nails. He will be fine.

That having been said, we could sure use a top shelf setup guy. Romo won't be it anymore.
We'll see, but I agree we could use another arm in the bullpen.

Brewers just tied the doyers (Urine pitching) 1-1 in the top of the sixth.

Check that, Urine left after 5. Coleman in.

2-1 Brewers now. But Urias pitched well, 5IP 8K 1BB 0R. Sorry to say he's going to be good.

Looking at the box score, I was struck by these numbers:

Span - .252/.337/.346
Blanco - .252/.323/.347

Almost identical except for a few more walks for Span.

When Span was signed, many here saw him as a Blanco-clone.

I was under the impression that many felt another outfielder was needed to start and thought Span was an improvement over Blanco. Span could yet be better, this could be the only time the two's numbers are nearly identical. I noticed the similarities and wondered if anyone else saw them as well.

Ok, maybe I projected there a bit...

I felt Span was a Blanco-clone. I actually expected Span to get the bulk of PT, but that the two are very similar and would end with similar numbers.
