Well 11 pitches and three weak AB's. Both balls in play traveled about 80 feet between them. And Herk was watching something other than pitches.

Might be a good night not to watch this. As good as we have been playing, this has been tough to watch how badly we are playing the Nats.

Can I get a second opinion on how Kuip is pronouncing Roark's name? Not feeling this Ro- Ark business. I thought it was like Mr. Roark from Fantasy Island :noidea:

Growing up a Twinkies fan, Knobby's throwing yips was the strangest thing I'd seen on a diamond. Almost all of them were routine plays. When he had to hurry, he was excellent. :smh:

I didn't watch the Twinks at the time of Kobbies issues, so I cannot compare, but Steve Sax went through it as well. It also ended Macky Sassers career (although he was a catcher, not a 2B). I don't know if either were as bad as Knobbs, though.

Just chiming in for pronunciation reasons. It is indeed Ro-Ark. It takes some getting used to hearing it like that, though.

Reminds me of "A Time to Kill", and how they pronounced the name of Sandra Bullock's character.

Thanks for the info. It sounded like he was struggling with it a bit in the beginning. Hopefully we'll get him out of the game soon & I won't have to hear it anymore :suds:

Just got home Cain 83 pitches through 4 innings. Giants down 3-0 . Time for a comeback.

Tough not to get that 2nd run but at least the G-Men are on the board. 3-1 Top 5

Teams especially the Nats are really pounding the Giants hitters inside. Time to make a adjustment.
