So what this trade really is, is...
Jimmie Foxx & Roy Face for Al Simmons & Trevor Hoffman
I'm not going to veto this but why don't people offer me trades like this EVER!!!

I’d like to say this... ironically Cy is normally ranked 2-3 pitchers group down from Christy... it’s always Johnson 1... then 2 lefties/Pedro/Rocket/Gibson/Christy... after that a group then someone usually Ritz gets cy... here Christy and Cy are equal... my pen Hoffman who’s normally a top 4 reliever at worst... Face is easily a round 15 or so pick maybe depending on how many drafters... however I get both and basically I didn’t get anything but Foxx for Simmons... interesting...
Contrary to popular belief, Tommy and I weren't around to see Christy and CY pitch...I always go by what the players and managers of an era have to say when comparing players. Both were great, but pretty much across the board Christy was considered more dominant, the only guy that was considered on a near level with Walter JohnsonSo you think the difference in Cy and Christy is the same as Hoffman and Simmons for Foxx and Hoffman? You lost one of the best hitters and power hitters of all-time. You upgraded on relievers but BP is not nearly as important as lineup and rotation. The difference between Hoffman and Face doesnt not equal Foxx and Simmons.
In an all-time draft...
Christy 2nd round
Hoffman 10th round
Simmons 15th round
Foxx 2-3 round
Cy 3-4 round
Face N/A
Glad you are back!Back home now so next draft I'm in.
