Excellent post Carl. I see problems everywhere with this team. I get accused of seeing the glass half empty.

You do? I have a question for you. How did Romo play yesterday?

I dont know what to think. I only see what I can see on TV. I cant see down the field if people were open. They showed down the field one time and Dez basically quit on his route. I know he missed one pass to Dez in which he threw behind him. He looked hurried all day. I thought he should have checked out of some second down runs that ended up going for negative yards. He had at least 4 drops and threw the ball away a lot. His rating looks a lot better than he played I think, but I dont know what else he could have done. Basically out of his 30 throws, I saw one really bad one to Dez.

Im sure you will disagree but I really dont know what else he could have done or a throw he may have missed.

Romo was not great but I would put more blame on the playcalling, clock management. We failed to establish the run, we failed to capitalize on our turnovers and the D had absolutely no answer for CJ. I understand he's an amazing player but to give up a performance like that is just embarassing.

I think is time to grow a pair and stop over reacting. There is a big difference between a bad loss and not competing. As long we are competing ..it's not time to freak just yet.

We lost to the 2 best teams in the league by a combined 4 points, all of our losses a combined 14 points. How many teams lost by more than that in 1 game yesterday?

Same song different verse. Cowboys have lost 11 games in the last 2 and a half seasons by 3 points or less. And we are 20 up and 20 down in that span. Bottom line business dude

You do? I have a question for you. How did Romo play yesterday?

I think Romo played fine. When you can't get 3 yards per carry from your running backs, have a star WR bitching about his number of targets when the team is winning, and has JG and Callahan as his playcallers, 3 TD's and no picks ain't bad

I would have bitched too after that first half and you barely get you #1 man involved in the game and when you do, he makes plays. Very simple!!!

Romo had 88 yrds going into the 3rd qtr thats on par with Terrell Pryor.

Oh but that 4rth quarter was nice wasnt it. Please tell me what other passes he missed. I said he made a bad throw to Dez. He should have checked out of two runs that went for losses. He possibly should have taken the sack on 3rd down on the 2nd to last drive instead of throwing it away so it could have ran more time- thats pretty nit picky. He had 4 passes dropped for sure, one inside the 10 that could have been another TD to Harris. He also had one on a scramble in which Williams dove at the goal line and almost came up with. I didnt count that as a drop. That was by no means an A game by Romo, but it wasnt bad either.

It's a total joke to watch that game and blame Romo. 10 point lead with 6 minutes to play, 6 point lead and the ball and a 1st down with 95 seconds to play, a 6 point lead with 1 minute to go and 0 T.O.'s for Detroit. Coaching and pass defense all day long lost this game. Romo didn't give up 329 yards to Megatron. Double or triple team his ass off the line and make them throw it somewhere else. Romo had 3 TD's, 0 picks, the offense scored 30 points with a scrub running game. Get a clue

A loss is a loss, bottom line. But I guess you think its a MORAL victory.

Interesting fact from blogging the boys

"In 2013 the Cowboys are hemorrhaging yards and big plays on an unprecedented level. So far this year, they've given up 59 passing plays of 16+ yards and 20 runs of 12 or more yards. Those 79 plays are tops in the league and six more than the Jaguars have allowed. The Jaguars!"

Dallas Cowboys Giving Up Big Plays Like It's Nobody's Business - Blogging The Boys
Did you expect different results during the Jerry Jones umbrella? We are a mess organizationally, The coaching is downright horrendous and pathetic, (with a yes boy coach and has been coordinators) and a defense so embarrassing, its shameful. Season is only half over and they've given up 400+ yards passing in half of them. The Jerry Jones cool aid is getting toxic.
