You might be underestimating the fact that the NCAA's marching orders to the committee are as follows:

1) SEC first and foremost
2) legendary programs that can generate the most excitement and revenue

After that, it's a fuck it situation. I just can't imagine a 1 loss Oklahoma not in the playoffs this year. I might see Utah ahead of Baylor as they are of no repute either and are still close to the r*pe stuff that went on, but the Sooners have the inside track unless Georgia beats LSU, then it's already a done deal- OSU, Clemson, GA,. LSU.

Damn it. Now watch Utah and Baylor lose so we can't test it out.

Yeah, I think that’s the typical/reasonable west coast college football fan take. I’d just rather Oklahoma get embarrassed again, and wait for a year the Pac 12 has a team that won’t be as embarrassing to get a team back in there.

Oklahoma lost by 11 to Alabama in last year’s playoff, which was also the closest game in the entire playoff.

The PAC 12 has one win in the playoff era. Oregon beat a hapless FSU, then got smoked by Ohio State.
