i think what bothers me most is that laviolette took the high road and didnt send out goons to handle neal after the couturier hit, and then neal takes advantage and goes after giroux's head.. its just disgusting.. in hindsight laviolette shoulda let rinaldo go out and sucker punch neal in to a fight to get him off the ice, and when that's the case.. you have a serious problem

A lot of fans are calling for Dan's head...I'd disagree with that. HOWEVER, being a player's coach may be catching up to him a bit.

I hate to say this, but being a player's coach and having leadership that isn't strict can backfire - look at what happened in Philly, Richards and Carter and player's coach Stevens out, Pronger and strict coach Lavs in.

Not saying one is like the other, but it does warrant mentioning at least.

Crosby's not reacting well to what is happening to his team, but let's face it: This is not the offense's fault. Marc-Andre Fleury has a save percentage below 80%. He is not giving his team a chance. Pittsburgh is scoring four goals per game, and he is fucking wasting it.

I don't know what they give out in the Pittsburgh locker room after wins (funny hats, title belts, decorative chains), but he should be getting the exact opposite.

Dan's always been about just playing fundamental hockey. He wouldn't even talk about Asham when Pierre interviewed him during the game.

I think from his angle, the Neal hit just looked like a defensive play. If he sees another angle later on that shows that Neal was headhunting, I don't think he'll be okay with that.

I agree I doubt he told Neal to leave his feet. The players let Frustration get the better of them.

I was hoping the third period wouldn't go this way but it did. Lets hope game 4 is as "clean" as it can be and they go out playing hard and try instead of this garbage we saw.

If the Penguins are done in 4 I would not be surprised if a shocking change to the roster doesn't occur. Not as extreme as Philly but something shocking. Honestly they looked set/poised for a good playoff run but unfortunately when you play the one team that is built to beat you nothing good could come from that if you don't adjust and they are not to this point.

I think he'd be fine if he hadn't punched Schenn on the ice...his point of contact with the crosscheck was the chest, and it migrated up when Schenn's head went back. Regardless it deserves something.
