Bases loaded and no outs. What are the Giants' chances to score in the 8th?
Flores up for the third time with the bases loaded. See if he can add another RBI.
It may be ugly but its a win.off the schneid.
That's about the only good thing to say today.
Shut up, tzill NolanI'm actually at the point in this game where I'm kinda hoping they phuking lose.
This "pitching" is a phuking shitshow.
Yep. He's in full Nolan territory now rooting against his own teamSo you are saying the Giants should lose because the pitching isn't good today?
Right, finally scoring runs, meaningless in baseballoff the schneid.

we'll need a coupla seasons to judge bartman.... tough position, big shoes to fill, and a team in transition. gerald handled this flawlessly in '10, not every successful major league catcher is posey.Bart's season reminds me of the year Steve Decker was supposed to become the Giants' regular catcher. Hot start followed by a very cold month. However, this regime is being more patient with Bart than the early 90s regime was with Decker.
Can we un-retire Posey? Make him an offer he can't refuse.we'll need a coupla seasons to judge bartman.... tough position, big shoes to fill, and a team in transition. gerald handled this flawlessly in '10, not every successful major league catcher is posey.
it's not like there are any obvious better solutions, it'll be bumpy but i believe jb is our best long term option - unless someone better comes along
i believe there's a hidden conscription clause in the cba - time to dust it off. it's for the greater good
Maybe offer to let him play 3rd base?

I'm not trying to suggest the Giants should move on from Bart. If you all know me, its that the Giants, historically, do not give many rookies much time to actually show what they can do in the big leagues. I didn't like how quickly the Giants moved on from Decker in the early 90s. I'm okay with Bart getting at least another month or two to see whether he can handle the big leagues. I'm just wondering if they will be patient with him or just cut bait quickly and find someone else short term.WAY early to be kicking Bart to the curb, but we have 3 or 4 legit catching prospects in the pipeline.
And Bart isn’t “his”.I'm not trying to suggest the Giants should move on from Bart. Genoves was moved aggressively to AAA this year and it shows in his stats so far. The guy backing him up isn't actually hitting well either. I guess that the lack of a veteran presence in AAA should show me that this regime will be more patient with Bart but it is FZ running the ship and he can often be quick with the hook.
I was trying to remember which year FZ took over but didn't feel like looking that up. The fact that Bart has lasted this long is pretty amazing. And Bart isn’t “his”.
I think Bishop was FZ’ first pick…I was trying to remember which year FZ took over but didn't feel like looking that up. The fact that Bart has lasted this long is pretty amazing.
That one is working well so far.I think Bishop was FZ’ first pick…
Yeah…. Has he had his first pro AB yet? That one is working well so far.
