Our call up tried to help but it was not enough.

The bullpen was nails again today - 4 IP, 3 hits, no walks, no runs, 11 Ks!
And Hjelle once again trying to show he deserves a longer leash. In 2 innings pitched, he gives up 2 hits but gets all 6 outs on strikeouts!

Too bad the bullpen's settling down coincides with the hitters still not hitting and the starting staff melting down.

Phils had a great approach with Webb last night. His stuff is rather ordinary if your hitters don’t get themselves out and you make the guy throw strikes. Giants probably take today’s game. They haven’t given Wheeler run support all year and the Phillies traditionally don’t hit arms they’ve never seen before.

I saw that last night was the first time in quite a few games where the Giants eclipsed 3 runs. Are guys hurt? The lineup seems to lack pop.

Outside of both our catchers going down over the weekend, all our injuries are to pitchers.

But don’t worry. FZ will add a 29 year old catcher from someone’s AA team in the coming days. Reinforcements, they are a comin’.

Very true and funny considering Reetz is basically the same catcher that FZ will acquire.
