Giants cruise home 5-0 today vs. Cubs and win series
They call him the freak and today Lincecum walked the tight rope all day in the baseball circus at AT&T Park. The wheels could of fallen off but to those who believe in Tim Lincecum that was never a factor. He battled and battled all day going 5 innings giving up no hit's or runs. He did his job and that is what baseball is all about. It's not how you start but how you finish and the Giants finished the day on top 5-0.
Sandoval with two hits and another big RBI today and made a fantastic play that saved Lincecum in the 1st when Tim was on the ropes.. Pagan 2 hits. Colvin had a big 2 out double to score a run. Posey got a hit to score a run but was later changed to a error which was wrong. The dirt out there was not consistent . Just ask Crawford who had a hell of a day getting hops off the dirt. The hit to put it away was Sanchez in the 7th on a long double to deep center that scored Posey and Sandoval . Once it was 5-0 the Giants cruised home behind another strong performance from the bullpen. 4 innings of scoreless pitching and the bullpen continues to be the story besides the excellent two out hitting. The Panda was the big star of the home stand.
The Giants are now 34-19 which is the best record in MLB. They are ten games over .500 19-9 at home. Giants go 5-1 on the home stand and now hit the road for a challenging road trip starting against one of their rivals the Cardinals. This could be a playoff preview down the road.
Another bright day in the sun for the Giants and a happy flight to St. Louis. A good day for a cruise win.
