I think people overrate his D because, deep down, they want him to be the next Omar. His D is above average for sure, but it's not stellar out of this world. Like you said, we haven't had a legitimate, young starting SS prospect in FOREVER, so yes, I think he gets unfairly bumped. I hate to say it, but this kid has John McDonald (Dbacks)written all over him.
