Ok, fellas, I've been getting repeated texts from Meow about starting this thread. So here it is.
This will be the 4th Annual Home Opener for us board members. Each and every year it gets a little bit bigger. The original outing was just a small group of us, like 6 or 7 and we've added guys each and every year. It's been great getting to actually meet and hang out with everyone over these past few years, except for TP of course.
This past year we finally got to meet Lionstop1(who is a 7ft Asian, no seriously) and Lionsfansince'68 who drove from fuggin Texas to hang out with us for the weekend(although his punk ass slept through the golf outing).
What normally happens is everyone meets up on either Friday evening or Saturday morning the weekend of the home opener. Not everyone can make it Friday night so we normally start the main festivities Saturday morning. This involves a round of golf(each year it has been a different location). This is usually followed by dinner and drinks(and some gambling) and then everyone kinda hangs out that evening, some later than others. Then we all wake up and tailgate before the game and then we all head in and watch together. Meow and I have discussed adding a few things to the weekend, like some weird hand-basket ball game played inside a gym but in bumper cars(never heard of it). But we are open to any and all ideas. We don't even have to golf this year if everyone wants to do something else.
Basically, we just want everyone to have fun and get to know everyone else, other than just behind their computer screen. However, we need to get an idea of who all can make the event this year ASAP. Meow deals with getting all the tickets. We get them all together in the same area and this is a pain in the ass so we need to know early so he can work with his sales guy. Also, payment will need to be made to one of us before the home opener. I will give more info about this in the upcoming weeks.
We want as many to make it as possible, but we have to have definitive answers. We can't have people waffling back and forth unsure if they can make it or not. Meow cannot pay for tickets for someone, only to have them back out and he get stuck with multiple tickets. So..........let's get a head count as to all who's interested. Thanks fellas.
