He reminds me of Garopollo in that regard. He throws a few up for grabs expecting his receiver to be where he is supposed to be like Jimmy does but with pretty good results on short and medium range passes.

That is easier to watch even if incomplete, versus Beathard holding.....holding.....holding.....

It was like Kaepernick...holding.....holding.....

The knock on Mullin from what I've read is his arm strength and velocity he puts on the ball. Against better defenses he won't be able to get the ball where he wants it.

LOL, yes lack of
Well another famous 49er QB didn't have great arm strength but he made up for it with accuracy and mastery of the offense he was running. He ended up in the HoF. All hope is not lost.

That was just what I read about him. I am not concerned. Nothing to lose at this point. Let him go out there and see what he does. The competition gets better over the course of the season. we'll get to see how he responds.

I know you are generally a “glass half full” type of guy, but relax. It is one game.

No shit, Sherlock. I'm probably the most relaxed person you'll ever meet.

Granted the Raiders had a very limited amount of film to pick Mullens apart...I really liked what I saw out of the kid. Confident, quick decision making, and fantastic ball placement for the most part...he was putting it right where the receivers needed to get it to make YAC happen. Most importantly he looked focused, composed, and comfortable on the field.

well if he keeps winning at this point it would be a lower draft pick
I'd rather win and get the lower choice. Draft picks hardly ever work out anyway.

Agree with winning during the season, and you don't ever "play to lose", even for a higher draft slot.

Wherever we end up AFTER the season, is where we end up. Also agree you still have to draft the right players too, regardless of your draft slot.

...but Mullens might get us a good draft pick in a trade.
If they let Mullens go then they are one play away from a disasterous season just like this year. Garopollo on a rickety knee does not inspire confidence.
