Although I understand what you mean about being legit I am looking at this from a different perspective. What I wanted was a team the was competitive and played hard. We have seen that the last few weeks. I would like to see that continue but if they end up 7-9 and make the playoffs I am just going to look at it as an unexpected Christmas present from old Aunt Mabel.

Next year I will hope for a little more.

I hope your Aunt Mabel is a very giving person. I have the same perspective that you have. Any team that makes the playoffs in any sport is legit because they all start with a 0-0 record at that point.

My original presiction for this season was 6-10, or twice the amount of victories as last year.

while that would be improvement, one side of the WTF’s - the defense - is already better than a 6-10 defense might normally expect to be (though obviously teams have 6-10 records for any number of reasons).
I will say that if the WTFs beat the niners, I dont see how they couldnt beat anyone else on their schedule - seahawks included - to end a miraculous season at 9-7.

I still think that a running qb like Russel Wilson is a huge challenge for the WTF, as they dont quite have all the personel they need to contain him.

Wilson is a huge challenge for any opponent. But our defense has become much faster, younger and better tacklers. Wilson isn't the threat to run like a Jackson or Murray, but he is much better at eluding a rush killing you with the pass out of the pocket. Keep him contained in the pocket and the seahawks are beatable.
