I think the packers have to play a perfect game to win. Rodgers scares me. But there Defense is not that good, and no clay Matthews rushing off the edge. I believe gore will go over 100 and they control the game.

GB has to be happy they don't have to use Newhouse at LT against SF yet again because Newhouse is a friggin sieve. But still, David Bakhtiari and Don Barclay are probably having nightmares about the Niners front seven.

Hopefully Lombardi's "coils" are working on Sunday, because Aaron Rodgers' right shoulder is gonna make friends with the turf early and often. Despite some people worrying about the pass rush, I think Aaron Rodgers gets sacked at least 4 times.

Kaepernick will have about 90 yards rushing and a touchdown.

9ers shut out the packs in the first half and go up 16-0 on 3 FGs and a Gore rushing TD. Packers attempt a comeback in the second in large part thanks to Rodgers 3TDs but a 4th Dawson FG and a late kaep to Boldin TD seals it.

26-21 good guys.

No way I am taking GB lightly. The last few times we have faced them, although we snuck out with the win, they have been close high scoring games. Offense not being a Niner strong suit, this worries me a bit. On the other hand, I think the cold weather actually benefits the Niners offense and Team as a whole more so than the Green Bay Packers. So hopefully that will even out the HFA as far as loud stadium goes. I have a feeling with the cold weather our Defense shows up big for us.

We're too balanced now with the addition of Crabtree and the emergence of Quin Patton.

I also predict that we open up our pass game to the backs more throughout the playoffs and make these db's tackle our backs

its in your guys favor that your playing on sunday and not saturday. Although sunday will be much colder but saturday there is a 50% chance of snow and im curious how kaep runs in the snow those 20-40 yard runs might not work in those conditions.

Snow is hard on defenders because they are reacting, offense is in more control. That's why you see more successful kick returns in snow, IMO.

my prediction: close game with a 9er victory by 4 points played in front of a dwindling crowd after half time. I'm happy to be at the game and hopefully I'll have enough layers to stay the whole game.

I can think of a couple of ways this might go but unfortunately neither has a happy ending for the 49ers. My prediction is not suitable for this audience and would only ilicit weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth followed by shrill cries of "Ban the troll!" I'll keep my predicition to myself.

After watching the last two games? Please!

In your prediction how do you see the Pack stopping the Niners offense, just curious?

I've been trying to think of ways and just can't come up with one.

The Packers will be without their heart and soul on defense which should help us. I say should because you know to start the game the rest of that Packers will be playing motivated football to prove their doubters wrong. If the 49ers can prevent 3 and outs and score early it will break that motivation and could snow ball the whole game in our favor. If however we struggle early and let that defense build confidence it might be a heartbreaking afternoon for us.

Offensively the Packers are still scary and will score on us. I don't think they are on the same level as the previous 3 years, but they still spread the ball all over the field and can run the ball better.

The key to the game for us will be to score early and put the Packers D on their back foot.

Poor quarterback play for one but also, the 49ers could get the lead and then go into their usual shell game of "Gore up the gut" and the Pack will catch up. That's one of my scenarios but in both I have it close.

They better be short field goals as the kicking game will be affected quite a bit in this game. This will be like an "Ice Bowl 2" but not quite as cold with temps at game time just below zero without counting wind chill. The Ice Bowl was like -15 and with wind chill was -48 degrees. I have not seen wind projections for Sunday yet.

With conditions like this it is most likely things that we hope will happen will be affected in some way. I did hear though that the Packers are practicing outside today and the current temp there is 4 degrees.
