Sweet! That's GREAT news. I was thinking it would be a 4th. Three picks in the third round of this draft is huge.

Who got the #99 pick? Steelers have 97, Packers have 98. The Ravens for Kruger? Looks that way.

As it stands now, Niners will have seven picks before the Hawks make their third. If we want to regain control of the division, we absolutely have to capitalize on all those picks.

Exactly, this draft is huge. This is Balke's time to shine. He can't afford to choke on this draft.

every draft is huge, whether 7 picks or 11, whether late slot or early slot.

so what might it look like next season? we lost Whitner and Brown, gained Gabbert, Bethea, and Martin? I'd think not much compensation?

Rogers was cut so don't think he counts?

Gabbert and martin were trades not FA. They don't count for compensatory picks

With 6 picks in the 1st 3 rds we can do some damage in this draft. I can't wait.

And we also lost Dixon and gained Cook. They cancel each other out. Whiten and Bathea cancel each other out too.

Yeah, I'd be somewhat surprised if we got more than say a 6th next year for Brown, though FA isn't over yet and we may not get anything. Next year we could be in line for another third rounder, though, if Iupati or Crabtree (or both) leaves. All the more reason to hit on this draft, so we don't have to use FA to fill glaring holes next offseason.

No way we keep all 6 picks so my guess is Baalke will do in last year's draft and move around the board by trading up and trading away some picks.

I'd imagine we'll trade one of the third-round picks either to move up in the first or in the second. As of right now, I'd prefer the latter. I really don't want to make a big move up, though. We've got plenty of needs in terms of adding players to step into starting roles in the next few years (CB, WR, C, OG, SS, NT, DE, OLB, etc.). We have a great opportunity to use this draft to restock the cupboard.

Ravens have loaded up on comp picks. A third, two fourths, and a fifth. Nice draft to have that in....

I wouldnt be surprised if we traded one of those 3rd round picks for a 2015 2nd round pick.
