our defense always seem to do this. They give up 1 first down and its damn near all over. Can never seem to stop the bleeding then. I dont get it.

The refs didn't cause that... It started with Kaep being stupid and ended with the defense playing too soft... call it what it is. Refs are way too easy of a scapegoat to find.
