It was a legal headshot. That kind of hit shouldn't be legal, but right now it is.

EDIT: Except that I thought it was from the blindside, or at least really close to being from the blindside.

I just can't stand refs and inconsistency. Call the game soft the whole time, then at the end let nasty crosschecks (lets think back to the one against Asham) go on goals.

So, since that last Neal penalty, we've seen a Tampa goalie interference, a trip on Kovalev, and St-Louis crosschecks our D on the tying goal.

But tomorrow, Pens haters will see the number of penalties and claim we were favoured. Bullshit.

Penguins - Neal.

I refuse to pick someone for the Lightning.

Unfortunately, completely legal. Hockey "blindside" really means a backchecking player, it doesn't apply to a play like this.

I don't know if it should. It seemed like incidental head contact on an otherwise fine hit.

I'm more pissed on the missed goalie interference (after the soft one on Neal), and the trip on Kovalev and non-call on St-Louis on the tying goal.

I don't understand how they can call a tight game for two periods and then swallow the whistle in the third. It's very strange.

Shouldn't the blindside be the blindside, no matter what the situation? This wasn't in the "hitting zone," and the player came from horizontal-to-behind the player he hit. If that were a hit in the neutral zone, it would be a 5 and a game, but since it was just above the goal line, it's a legal check.

It doesn't make sense.

EDIT: This may be a product of my scientific obsession with symmetry...
