The thing I don't like about these type of games is you can dominate the entire game, but if you don't put it out of reach you're doing yourself no good. This is the type of game that if we had our superstars (really, either one) it could be a blow out. Of course, who wants a blow out after watching the LAK/SJS game?
Meh... Neal didn't try that hard. I understand why they made that call.
Can't understand the cross-checking on Asham earlier though. Even the Vinny hold was pretty ticky-tack.
You guys are probably watching the Pittsburgh feed, but I'm on CBC, and those announcers are really pro-Tampa. I thought the Pens D made two great plays on those two semi-breakaways, and they thought both should be a penalty. WTF? They also thought there was no contact on the Kovy high-stick.... it's annoying.
I also heard them say at one point that Pittsburgh is "due for a penalty". That's what's wrong with hockey (well, one of them). You're never DUE for a penalty. I'd love to see more 6-0 , 7-0 games (in terms of powerplay opportunities), if it's merited. There's no rule, or logical reason, why both teams should get the same amount of opportunities.
