To be fair, when it left the bat, it looked like a gap double.
Ok, it wasn't DIRECTLY to the fielder, but the arm had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he stayed at first. And it had zero chance of being a double. It already bounced 3 times before it was fielded.

Cain was awful; Strick was shaky.

Osich looked good as did Belt and Herk.

We are officially 5 starts into the season; can't see 5 more like this for PV/Horse without a change.

Cherry picking lines. If you pick the 3 or 4 worst bats of any game, it would likely be similar. Especially against one of the best pitchers in the game.

Agree 100%. Serious discussions need to be had about who gets the first audition.

Sure, but off the bat I thought it was a double and so did Kuip. He was simply trying to call it as he would on the radio. Otherwise, he'd have needed to say "and the ball slices toward Cespedes, holding Span to a single."

You never hear things like that.

Not really. The Giants are the best team in the majors this year at making contact. Today, they were awful. Those lines show that.

Oh, I'm sure they're discussing. They will also give Cain another 5 starts regardless. PV, maybe not.

That's to be expected to an extent against a team like the Mets, who are top to bottom one of the best staffs with regards to strikeouts.

Of course, no team could possibly recover from back-to-back devastating losses like this.

Man, it's WAY too early in the season to try one of those. Perhaps if someone can get Colin to come back. He's the only one who has any chance of pulling THAT one off.
Does anyone have contact info for him? Hammer said he did not boot him, and was willing to help him get his accounts squared away.

To an extent, yes.

Not to THAT extent.
