I assume the giants are playing with only 25 tonight...

By the way, MLB doing more tinkering with rules in another indy league:
I hate the idea, but I guess I like that they are actually putting ideas on the field in the minors rather than just mull them over for 10 years...

Yep, that idea is hella dumb. I actually have no problem with the man on 2nd thing.

Whoops, looked at this before tzill's post in the Current Roster.
Interesting move. I wonder how Tauchman fits.
Solid LH OF...they've been looking for that for months. Plays all three spots, has some PH talent.

It's another, wait for it.....incremental upgrade.

Won't miss Wandy, that's for sure.

I'm kinda surprised you're ok with that....I really dislike it.

but, I am an old white guy.
I'm almost as old and just as white. I'm just not a dogmatic purist, probably less so than when I was young. It's just a game. Things change in every sport, and I don't really see the value of 11 and 12 and 15 inning games. Every once in a while you get some 18 inning monstrosity that's fun to talk about but it's pretty boring, no one watches the whole thing.

But the 7 inning double header rule is retarded.

Whatever FZ calls his moves so far I'm pretty impressed with him.

I’m old and white, but don’t mind any rule changes (Cept the DH in NL - I like the strategy). This game has gotten too stagnant with the three outcome strategy (HR/BB/SO). That seems to be the consensus on how to best win games but puts me to sleep.

Gotta spice up the game somehow imho.

I too like having different rules regarding the DH. I like the variety, having it sometimes and not having it others. Baseball is quirky like that, different park dimensions, no clock, etc

As for the DH, I would be more open to the idea if the home team decided which rule to play by. And that decision being made each day (not like park dimensions that can only change during the off-season).

Mind you, I still hate the rule. And i still have not picked up my fan-option for next year pending the game’s decision on the rule. But adding some dynamicism (is that even a word?) to the game is fun and ADDS strategy. If the Snakes have Bum on the hill against almost anyone, they would chose to not play with the DH. Same with the Angels when Ohtani is pitching.

Whelp, we wondered when the SP would shat the mound. It's happened. 2 outs then walk, walk, double.

0-2 heading to the bottom of the first.

It's bizarre how the Giants have been tracking the Warriors when both teams play the last two weeks. The Ws are getting blown out at home vs Dallas.

No bueno.

At least you're not checking out already

But yeah that Warriors game is embarrassing on national TV. Hardly matters this year but it would be nice for them to win their playin games to get blown out by the Suns or Jazz
