I agree 100%.

But we do not complain when that first pitch swing results in a RBI single or double.

But when the team is scrapping, you need to fall back to fundamentals a bit (advancing the runner with a bunt, taking a pitch to allow the runner to steal, working the count, etc) and this team seems to only have two gears... Stop and Go...

Holy F Morse!!!

Tie Game!!!!

But Bochy is an Earl Weaver disciple.

How does that counter his point?

You say it is fun, he says it smells.

Saying you don't agree is like saying Apples are round because Detroit is in Michigan...

I never smelled any urine. Was fine for me there. The women are outstanding and they love sports

Man, for a guy who's seen a lot of baseball...EVERY season is like this, all the teams go through times when they look like the '27 Yankees and then later like the '62 Mets...this is very normal

Last year sure did feel a LOT like the 62 Mets though.

I am still convinced that their Mojo got caught in customs and never made it out of Toronto.

Oh yeah .... this is what baseball is really all about .... I can't remember too many seasons when as a fan I didn't have these emotional meltdown moments. We call it torture but it is part of every season for almost every sport. Walking on the edge is one of the finer points of being a fan. It's great to go to the park and watch a game when it COUNTS. It's almost as if you are part of the process itself. As a fan I always that I was part of the win or loss. That was and is agreat feeling. Going to a game in September and your team is up by 20 games ... who cares .... now going to a game in September and you're 1 game up or one game down .... now that's baseball ....

I will tell you a funny story about Chicago. Got a hotel room and when we checked in it had this big outline of a stain on the rug right by the door. It looked like someone caught a bullet or something right there. I complained to the manager and he hemmed and hawed and never gave me a answer and did not change the room so we went over to a top notch hotel. I have a rule...no blood stains in my hotel room. That was a freaky place.

So if Bochy doesn't get tossed, does Cain still give up that HR? Uh, yeah actually, he's Matt Cain in Denver.

The high cheese used to be Cain's money-pitch. He must have lost just enough velocity and/or movement on it that it is getting launched now instead of popped up.
