A team with World Series goals having 2 MLB debuts in the first 2 weeks of the season is not a huge confidence builder...

Well, I do want to see some of the kids play. I don't know how long a rope Peavy and Cain have. One of the other can be a long reliever if they can't get their stuff together as starters. I would not be surprised if one of them is gone early in the season. I can't imagine Cain being gone, with the time with the org and the $$$ invested.

I love Peavy's fire and competitiveness, and he is by all reports a good clubhouse guy. But we don't need good clubhouse guys with 9.00 ERA's who can't go more than twice through a lineup.

I hope both turn it around, but how long will the PTB's wait to see if that happens?
