Game Thread: 4/19 Even Year Winners vs. 2001 Champs

All our minor league teams are off to poor starts. San Jose is doing aLmost OK, but they were supposed to be some sort if juggernaut.

I haven't looked to see for certain, but it seems that, in the past few years, most of the affiliates get off to strong starts and fade. This start, as a system, seems unusual.

Didn't Richmond lose their first 15 games last year?

A little more on Cain:
In his last three seasons (2014-2016), he has made a total of 29 starts. Of those starts, he has gone 7 innings only 6 times. The last one was June 28, 2014. The last time he went 8 innings was June 29, 2013. He last 6 innings only 4 times last year, three of which he allowed 2 or fewer runs.

He is one of my favorites. I really hope he comes around but each start I lose a little more hope.

I think the Giants must have hired Aubrey Huff as an assistant hitting coach this year. The huffers have come at an alarming rate.
