Did we sign Aoki or Suzuki?

He has been absolutely amazing since coming over.

Where was he in the series? He was abysmal in the series...

I had my doubts about him in ST, but he has stepped up big time.

Hey Cal. We can't let you ride solo forever.

Question: Why wasn't Susac with the team out of the gate? Seems like we could use his bat with Pence out. Boch must trust Sanchez a lot more.
Anyway, I was saying...

Roster management. Susac had an option, Chez doesn't. Susac is a better asset, so it is better that he plays every day. Chez is still an asset, but as a BU, so letting him sit is OK.

Susac is up now because we will be done with this hellish no-rest string after this series, so we can go back to normal roster construction.

I did not want to target him because of what we saw of him in the series. But I was actually OK with getting him as a backup plan. Now he is becoming one of early faves.

I don't want to jinx him, but Heston has been great so far this year…Nice to see him have an easy inning.

If you were starting a team, Goldschmidt might be your top pick.

Meanwhile, Heston continues to keep the ball down.

I get your point, but no chance in hell.

Trout?
Fernandez?
Hernandez?
Kershaw?
Bryant (early, granted)?

Plus, he is a 1B. The NLs version of the DH.

But he can HIT!

I get ya. Top 10 perhaps. (I will fight you on this) ;)
I can buy top 10. He may be the best all-around 1B in the game (he has great D which trumps Abreu).

But I heard this kid an Anaheim can hit as well...

Yes…Trout is the obvious choice. I agree.

Would you pick Bum over Gold?
