The pitcher may be good, but the Giants do this to all rookies. Can anyone offer up even a theory as to why they constantly look like shit against kids they have never seen while their opponents don’t seem to suffer the same ailment?

Frustrating as all hell.

Just looked at the schedule and roster. While we have tomorrow off, that doesn’t really help the rotation. We will still need to stay with 5.

So unless Sammy is activated as well, we are stuck with Beede for at least 1 more start.

Tuesday - Cueto
Wednesday - Stratton
Thursday - Blach
Friday - Holland (another who needs to be replaced)
Saturday - Beede

Sammy threw yesterday (rough start, but he settled down; he may be ready) and would be scheduled for Wednesday. Maybe they give him a short outing to try to reset his schedule?

Sounds like the Giants are pushing Shark up. No more rehab starts. Beede was just sent down.

I'll bet Law is the other guy optioned, but who knows. Osich could be replaced with Okert, but either guy will be replaced with Will Smith

I was going to guess that the following would happen . . .
Cueto activated, Law optioned
Samardzija activated, Beede optioned
Smith activated, Osich optioned

Maybe they option Osich now but I don't think Okert can come up yet. They could call up Snelton but he doesn't look very good in AAA right now.

One whole walk. Are these hitters simply uncoachable? And BB9 with ANOTHER called strike three with men on base early when it was still a game.
Tonight was a bad night for walks but the trend has been going up. Belt is definitely in a bit of a funk with 2 strikes but he's still doing better than most of the rest of the team. For some reason, his flaws stick out more than anyone else.

1) The shit that smells most like a rose still smells like shit. Just because he does better than the other failures on this team does not mean he is doing good.

2) 5 years of horrible body language will drain a fan base. When Pence strikes out, he does so in BIG, GRAND fashion. He looks like he is trying. When Belt strikes out, he does it with the bat on his shoulder and then complains to the ump about a bad call as he mopes back to the dugout dragging his bat like Linus drags his blanket.

Giants now 1-5 with no walks or 1 walk (3-0 with 4 walks or more)

Giants are now 5-1 when scoring first, 1-8 when not scoring first

Giants have 10 games without a two-out RBI, (3-7 in those games)

Scoring 3.067 runs per game, giving up 4.067 runs per game

I'd really like to believe, but we've see this pathetic stew for the last 235 games. When is this a trend, and when do radical changes happen?

Since the ASB 2016, the Giants are 10-23 against the Padres. Can't even begin to think about wildcard if we cannot even beat the Padres, who look like a much better team with half the payroll.

Trending? They have 40 walks in 15 games, and 22 of those walks came in only three games, meaning that in 12 games, they have 18 walks.

It is painful to watch Belt just watch called third strikes whiz by. At least protect the plate until you get a good pitch to hit. No one is as polarizing as Belt on this team.

Counter-point: who cares what players look like because they're all trying. I'll take the guy who's producing.
