Rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Good to see him deliver in his new roles, though they may have been viewed as a demotion in some sense. Very professional.

Hate to be a cynic, but contract year

That said, when healthy he was always very productive. His trouble was staying off the DL. ANd last year when he did play I don't think he was ever really 100%

That IS pretty cynical. I respectfully counter that he was legitimately hurt, and that he has always given 100% of what he had for us, IMHO.

He's healthy and in a more comfortable role for him. Not sure he was ever a "natural" CF.
