If you compare what he did in his day to any receiver in the history of the game during their day Hutson would be #1.

The question for me is the competition he played and how good would his athleticism, speed, and ablities carry him these days. Mediocre at best? No doubt he was great but it is hard comparing players from way back in the day to now.

This is exactly how you SHOULDNT think when voting. Why are we doing an all time draft if we are going to penalize players for when they played, why didn't we just do a current draft using this format?

That's what I was thinking. The eye test is the only problem, nobody has seen him play so you have stats, records, etc.

Yeah but we are also supposed to judge them based off how they would perform against these teams.

You were saying you couldn't find anyone who did what he did. But he didn't do it being guarded by the Woodson combo, with Jared Allen coming off the edge. These guys are all in this evaluation as well.

Were not on his level.

Rod Woodson was a 2nd rounder. John Hannah was a 9th. 1, I thought we weren't supposed to trade a 2nd. 2, I don't have a problem with the trade, but there were guys crapping themselves over what round was traded for what round in baseball, and it continued on this thread. Just saying
