It looks like my voting was way off....

On the mock draft thread. There are 6 matchups. Also a few posts ago Nos listed the links to all 6 matchups.

I see the matchups, but I seriously can't figure out who was #1 and who was 12.... The teams I thought were the best seem to be paired up.....

Go to the Mock Drafts (it's a link in blue near the top of the page) There you will see all the posts on the mock draft forum or check a few posts back where Nos listed links to all matchups.

Sorry, been fighting a nasty flu, so I haven't been on much and doubt I will be today. Would like to suggest that no more stats/awards, etc. be posted in these drafts. Unfairly influences the voting, imo.

Can you re-post the seeds? I can obviously see who people are picking in the matchups, but I'd lie to know how the voting went...

We didn't use seeds. We went back to the old way team 1 vs team 2, team 3 vs team 4 and so on. We are using rankings to decide ties and who moves on in the playoffs.


Using the rankings to decide 1st round games really makes no sense, how is #12 ever gonna beat #1? Ain't gonna happen.


I will send you the rankings when I get them all. We are still waiting on Wamu, Clark & Trojan I believe.

I doubt you will get anything from Wamu, he basically said that he didn't care about this anymore.

In the voting the lower the number the better.


Someone brought to my attention people might be ranking me higher because everyone sends me the rankings. We need to think of a way to make it more fair so i'm not the only one seeing the rankings. The one problem with that is if we just post our rankings why do a playoff?

???... 1 is supposed to beat 12..... That is how you end up with the two best teams in the end...

On nearly all the drafts we have done the last hand full of months the first round was done 1vs2 and 3vs4 and so in following the draft order to determine the matchups. Which I believe is the most fair way. Why should the person who got stuck with the 12th pick potentially have to play the person who got the 1st pick of the draft.

1 doesn't have to beat 12 for the best teams to make it to the Championship, many times I have seen people vote for the team they ranked say 8th over the team they ranked 3rd. I honestly don't believe people put much thought into the rankings. There have been times and i'm sure others will agree where the team that won the Championship was ranked 1st, 2nd or 3rd by most but two people had him ranked 12th.

Rankings are only useful as a tie-breaker IMO but I am always open to what everyone else thinks...

I think 1 should play 12 because even though 1 gets the top pick, 12 gets 2 solid players before it wraps back around to 1. 1 gets the #1 and 24 picks while 12 gets #12 and #13 picks. Both equal 25, which means relatively equal value picks.

In rankings it's kind of tricky IMO... I look at each team but by the time I looked at each team and ranked them it's changed like 4 or 5 times... For me it's about matchups... There isn't a HUGE difference in talent so while I may rank a team 1, and another 5... If the match up is wrong for team 1 I may vote against my 1st ranked team... That's just me...
