I'm pretty sure that most fans of any team think this rule sucks and would like to see it changed...

It worked this time, but it just as easily could have gone against the Caps, as they had to kill an OT PP for the same infraction. I agree, though, i HATE that rule.

Had to listen to this game on my phone while at a little league game. On the edge of my collapsible seat the entire time. Way to go Caps!

Are you fucking joking? Refs missed obvious calls against the Rags late and gave the Rangers every opportunity today. We won the game b/c we were better.

Same here and I agree 100%.

Like someone else I think wrote -- I think most fans hate that rule and wouldn't be opposed to it being changed/gone... just not sure when/if that'd ever happen, unfortunately.

I'm 100% indifferent towards it. I don't think it should be the same as something like boarding, but then again, it sucks when guys just slow the game by punching one over the glass. So I see some positives and some negatives, so... meh. Both teams had it called on them, so it didn't really matter. It wasn't "the difference" in the game.

Yeah, the DOG penalty sucks. Make it like icing. If you really want to make it worse than icing, make it so you can't call a timeout after it either. Not an excuse as to why the Rangers lost but still a stupid penalty.

I think the main reason I hate the rule is that when the infraction occurs, 99% of the time it's unintentional that the puck goes over the glass.
