Sometimes the coaches attitude toward the refs reflects the way they call the game.

the penalty against Harbaugh for throwing his clipboard and headset was dumb though. Who cares if a coach throws them on the sidelines? It'd be one thing if he threw them in the direction of, say, an OSU player or ref.

Dunce. I'm not talking about slomo replay. I'm talking about the line judge seeing a player run into his own guy and fall immediately. Why would he even think to put the ball more than half a yard forward from where the guy lands on the floor?

Again. No defender pulling him backwards, etc.
just a runner who hits his guy and falls. Why would a line judge place the ball a half yard forward.

You can't tell me he can adjudicate that much forward progress on the fly at full speed.
That's the kind of thing that can be fixed on a challenge, but the question remains: why would the line Judd place the ball more than a half yard forward from where the guy hits the floor on a bang bang play?
