Batum didn't look good.
Wonder if he's possibly back Saturday, and if so, at what %.

I didn't get to see the game as I was stuck in traffic. However, I heard that Batum rolled his ankle pretty bad. If that's the case, I don't see him playing Saturday. If he's out the series, then so is Charlotte.

Kemba needed 29 shots for his 29 points.

Miami would take that ratio every night

I hope he continues to be this bad every night.

I think you like to watch box scores & offense. They will beat Charlotte because they are a better team. If you think Whiteside had a good game overall (O & D) -- you are impressed by O stats.

He was fine. On a scale of 1-10, I'll say he was 7. If I was giving him a letter grade he would be get a C+ from me. I feel like his defense was much better in the 2nd half. Actually got out on the P & R and contested Kemba's shot.

You think wrong.
I know very well what happened after foul #2.
I honestly felt he should have been pulled once it got down to around the 4 minute mark of the 2nd qtr to insure that he didn't pick up number 3.
You're taking a 5-6 minute stretch of a game when we all know/saw that he was instructed to do exactly what he did, and using it as an example for the season.
He did come in 3rd in the voting for a reason.
If you disagree wth the reasoning, then we'll just agree to disagree.

Also, Bobcats supposed biggest advantage was 3 point shooting, which they feed off of.
Well, guess what, if they want to force feed Jefferson while we're at the same time increasing the lead, then I think Spoelstra will live with that every time.

Obviously, because he wasn't even going to put himself in position to pick up number 3, after the bullshit #2 call.

He landed on Winslow, just unfortunate.
How they called a foul on Winslow is quite another story.
Wiggy prob thinks it was an intentional thug move for Winslow to have had his foot in that position.

Exactly. You could see the difference especially in the way he guarded Jefferson in the 2nd half. Should be noted that by the time Jefferson entered the game in the 1st half, Hassan was already on 2 fouls

If you guys think he is the 3rd best D player in the NBA after watching what Walker & Jefferson (and even Zeller) did to him tonight -- that is a joke.

Maybe Chris turned on the game late?

If you noticed, Spoelstra really didn't seem to care.

Of course. If Winslow played for the Cavs, he'd be a genius player then.

So if he gets 2 fouls -- he is a horrible defensive player ? Is he the only guy in the NBA who has ever gotten 2 fouls in the first half ?

Ok.
He sucks.
That's why he was voted 3rd, and multiple teams will offer him a max.
Let's move on.

Nope I think Spo would take this every night. He knows Jefferson and Kemba on a high volume of shots is not going to be enough to beat Miami. They need guys like Lee, Lin, Zeller, and Williams to contribute as well.

That's great that you think that. Couldn't care any less. Whiteside has been consistent in the playoffs. Is he a perfect player? No. But he's improving as the year goes on and is relatively young. If you think he's shit, then that's your opinion.

Ok, we get it. He doesn't play for the Cavs. You can move on now. Bye Felicia!

Zeller and Jefferson were so awesome that they'll probably go with Hawes on Saturday.

I have it recorded. I thought his worst defense was in the first 3 minutes against the Walker/Zeller P&R.

Are you slow upstairs?
No matter what the Bobcats were doing, the Heat were doing better on the other end exploiting match ups.
He wasn't picking up number 3.
It's really not that hard.

I don't think Whiteside is a great man to man defender. Never thought he was. He is a rim protector. When he's in the game, teams are scared to come in the lane and if they do then they usually rush their shots. I think most players are horrible defenders with 2 quick fouls. The difference is when you pick up 2 fouls as a PG/SG/SF, you can hide that player most of the time and put him on some one dimensional offensive player who won't do much except hit a a spot up 3. As a Center as big as Whiteside, you can't hide him. He must guard Jefferson. There's no way around it. Miami is not going to put him on Batum or Marvin Williams and have Deng guarding Jefferson.
