Finally lol. He stepped up down the stretch, he wasn't that efficient but he was aggressive. Only way Philly moves on is if he continues to be aggressive bc Simmons isn't reliable. Embiid usually is but he had an off night.

This was by far the best game had all playoffs so far. He might be worth a max if he could continue to do this on a constant basis but he's only taken more than 13 shots in two games this entire playoffs.
Had another very good game round 1 but got ripped because his team lost because no one else played well.

How about just say "anything Butler bad" and leave it at that?

So bad game 1 matters, but good game 2 doesn't. Guess you are In the Moment Guy only sometimes?

and, no, 22 shots for 30 points is not "pretty bad". Pretty close to Kawhi's 24 for 35.
*Likes this guy*

Misjudged him for being a Cavs fan.

The non-Kawhi/non-Siakim Raptors pretty much played the same way in Game 2 as they did in Game 1.

However Kawhi and Siakim who went 28-38(74% shooting) on Saturday went 22-49(45%) shooting last night.

The Raptors are not going to get 75% from those 2 every night.

Seems to me that the Sixers focused almost exclusively stopping Kawhi and Siakim. Kawhi still had a great stat line, and made some really really tough shots, but Siakim really struggled at least compared to how he has played in the playoffs so far.

Agree. That's why I say the Sixers defense was better, but not hold them to 89 points better. Some of it was just shots not falling that fell on Saturday (especially for Siakam).

The other Raptors are going to need to step up a little more too. Those guys were missing some open looks that came because the Sixers were focused on Siakam and Kawhi.

LOL. I'm not from Philly but I have NEVER met a guy from Philly that has an inferiority complex looking to Pittsburgh.

Looking north on the New Jersey Turnpike, otoh, does point to a place they DO have an inferiority complex with.
New Brunswick?

The Sixers defense improved certainly. But ultimately their defense focused on limiting Kawhi and Siakim. OTOH, their defense wasn't really that bad on Saturday either. The Kawhi/Siakim simply made every shot they took pretty much.

Stats aren't necessarily predictive but they can tell you when anomalous events occur. Those 2 aren't going to shoot 75% on 40 shots very often. Just like the Sixers aren't going to shoot 92% from the stripe in most games like they did last night.

Raptors bench played like crap. We need way more from Ibaka and FVV. Danny Green needs to hit at the same clip he was all year. If this happens all will be fine

22 shots to get 30 points is pretty bad.

from what I saw of the game Butler at least tried on defense tonight though- much more important than his inefficient scoring.

You may want to read that back to yourself.
This is an extremely bad take.
30 shots to get 23 points would make sense.

I can't believe Embiid is listed as questionable again. This time because a stomach virus. Or in layman terms, he's got the shits

I'm glad Embiid admitted and said he had the shits. Everyone alway says stomach virus, stomach flu, food poisoning, or gastrointestinal virus. Just say, hey I won't be able to make it in to work because i have the shits.

So like how Philly sports fans look down the road to Pittsburgh, then?

A football team that hasn't won in a decade.
A hockey team with a gaping pussy.
We have their best baseball player in the last two decades.
No basketball team... and this guy brings them up in a basketball thread.
