Totally different.

The Bucks proved they were the best team in the regular season and they made it to the ECF last year.

If the Cavs had won 60 games without LeBron, then they would have been the team to beat.

None of that means anything as of today, because they are down 0-3 in this series.

If a golfer enters a tournament as the #1 rated player, but is 12 strokes back after 3 rounds, he is no longer the player to beat in that tournament.

You can keep saying it, and keep being wrong IMO. No team, ever, down 0-3 in a current series, is the team to beat.

The Bucks being the #1 seed means exactly what, as of today?

You gave the Heat a 97% chance to win.

You are saying the team you are almost certain will lose is the team to beat. It’s illogical.
I picked the Heat to win this series but I thought it would go to 7 games.

It's not 2 different things.

Yes, they were no longer the team to beat when they didn't make the playoffs and couldn't defend their title. When you win a championship, you are the champ until someone else wins it or you cannot defend your title.

You're right, it's not. The champion is the team to beat until someone actually beats them. Assuming the Heat don't become the first team to blow a 3-0 lead, the Bucks will no longer be the team to beat. But until the Heat (or someone else) finishes them off, they are the team to beat.

Bucks were never champion of anything other then best regular season record which means nothing, today.

I picked Heat to lose, but that has nothing to do with who is the team to beat in the series as of today.

The Heat were a handful for Milwaukee in the regular season.

Giannis is a terrible outside shot. Keep him out of the paint and your chances of victory are good.

I'm sure Heat fans are pleased at the Greek Freak's performance so far.

They did a great job of slowing him down.

Painful as a Sixers fan watching Jimmy Buckets dominate like this, knowing we could have kept him if we showed him a little more love and money.

I suppose the Bucks will be looking for a new HC after this season.

Jimmy Butler may be a Top 5 player in the NBA when you look at what his teams have been before and after.

As an all around player and the way he can just imply make a team better by playing I do think he's close.

You all are too much.

All I ever said was that the Bucks are the team to beat until they actually lose that 4th game.

I definitely think that will happen. Perhaps as early as Sunday.

But it hasn’t happened yet.

And I can guarantee you that Jimmy Butler and Erik Spoelstra would agree with me. Because approaching the rest of this series with the mindset that it is over is how they get beat.

Nobody stated or debated that a series is over until a team wins 4 games.

Team up 3-0, is the team to beat every time any team is in that position.

was this from after the shot that led to GW FTs in game 2?

Here's my conspiracy theory. The league wants to get rid of defense all together. Only a matter of time before someone averages 55.5 ppg in a season.

I picked the Bucks in 6, just because.
But, I felt much better about the Heats chances once @WiggyRuss weighed in.
So basically you are ripping him for being wrong about a team for which he has an agenda, when you were also wrong and they are your own team?

and so was I...I had Bucks in 6.
