Series Thread: 2nd Round: Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors

Series start Sunday in Golden State.

Schedule is already out. There is a 3 day break between games 2 and 3. If Conley does play in this series, I think it will be by game 3.

Early prediction is Warriors in 5.

If Conley miss the entire series (which I don't see happening) then I can see a Warriors sweep

Sucks that Conley got injured. If not for that I would've expected a long series here.

Should be fun to watch. I look forward to seeing Gasol and Bogut go at it down low in an old-fashioned style big man battle, and the two MSU alums Randolf and Green in a serious match-up.
I'll take Golden State in 5 though, might go longer if Conley comes back, but I'll go 5.

Joe Johnson had a similar injury in 2005 and he missed about 2 weeks. Game 3 of this series will be 2 weeks for Conley

Okay, but there is no timeline yet. From what I have seen there isn't even a full description of the injury and I have heard reports that there was damage to the orbital floor which would be more serious. I saw that he had two plates put in to repair the damage, but don't know if this tells any more about how serious the damage is or how much time he will be out.

The Grizz are not very good.

They played the worst team in the entire playoffs (including Toronto and Boston), so forget about the 1st round series.

Maybe the Ws give them a merciful "gentlemens sweep" of 5 games.

Probably right result but wrong reasoning. I think the Warriors are very good and possibly in a league of their own.

I always figured injuries would tank Bogut at some point but instead Conley being out for this series is way too much for the Grizzlies to handle. No team is beating the Warriors missing one of their 3 best players

Warriors in 6. Grizzlies size and more physical style will give the Warriors some trouble, but not enough for the Grizzlies to win the series.

Really wouldn't take much out of the last game. Memphis had 1 starter in double figures....that won't happen again.

Opposing styles always make for interesting matchups. I picked Warriors of Grizzlies in 7 on the Playoff Prediction thread. I hope I'm right!
