Tough against JV. Yes. But anyway I thought JV was playing scared, he is a big guy use that strength.

That was basically Shaq's point. If JV plays like a big instead of playing scared, the Cavs don't really have a good answer for him. As tough as Tristan is, JV has 3 inches and 20 pounds on him.

Raptors dont have much of any chance to win, but they have no shot playing small ball.
Cavs have trouble vs good bigs.

Interesting.

"According to sources, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey -- desperate to find a way to score enough to keep up with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are averaging 113.4-points points a game through five playoff starts -- is giving strong consideration to sitting both Carroll and Valanciunas for Game 2. In their place would go Powell and rookie Jakob Poeltl."

That a very stupid idea IMO.

id agree with that- they built there roste rin a way where they basically ignored the fact that a big man could do damage- because no big man on a good team could do enough damage to significantly hurt them--- just like most of the best teams in the league.

why spend money on a lumbering 7 footer when limited cap space can be spent on the wing- which is HUGELY more important in todays game.

in the 2015 Finals the Warriors basically said- sure- let Mozgov get 30- we dont care- we will kick your ass every time if you think getting the ball to your big is gonna make a difference- its a stance many of the best teams in the league have imitated.

If the big man is elite, and has a championship quality roster around him, he'd be deadly.
It adds another element which makes it easier for everyone else.
Cavs and Warriors can win without any type of center because they currently are the 2 teams who found ways to accumulate multiple all stars and the best of the best.

This is a defeated team. As @trojanfan12 said the other day, they don't believe they can beat Cleveland.

Indiana actually believe they can beat Cleveland until that game 3 collapse
