12 should be fine, like someguy said, lot of filler that wasnt really needed. I mean it showed how there were other things happening in their lives, but would have been just as good with out it.

This is the 2nd time bringing it back I think. They went on a haitus for a while then did an hour or hour and a half special with Jack down in a fictional African nation (Sangala I think) which ended up being the plot for last season.

I love 24 but I might have to wait a few weeks until I get in on it because I like to go through 2-3 episodes at a time.

I think it would make more sense if each episode was 24 hours not each season

No this is still technically the first time.

The other time saw the writers strike which put every tv show on hold. So 24 decided to release a tv movie event to give something fans could hold onto.

Then the following year came out with S7 which played off the movie a bit and then ended with S8.

It was a writers strike not a revival due to high demand.

Jack didn't let him go. He shot him and tony was arrested.


I still have a feeling tony will somehow pop up later this season though.

Sutherland told CNN in a press call. "He's had to hide in Eastern Europe for four years. He's been estranged from his daughter and grandchildren, he has not been able to go back to the country that he feels he served. That kind of isolation has made him really hard."
And yet, as executive producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto point out, he'll still jump at the chance to stop another attempt on a president's life without asking, as many of our favorite characters would today, what's in it for him.
