New year, new season time for a 2025 thread. OC is the next big decision for Seahawks. Just saw this:

Now Slowik offense had major issues this last season and took a big step backwards in 2024. Mostly it seems centered around shoddy OL play. The 2023 version of the offense was very good. How would you guys feel about him being Seahawks OC? Running the ball was not his issue, as the Texans feed Mixon plenty.
I would be okay with Slowik but again, it comes down to fixing the Oline right? Same old, same old for us. The Texans have the young QB that everybody covets and it doesn't help them all that much. They were marginally better than us in a weak as hell division. I agree that he got a lot out of Mixon all things considered. Not sure what the Texans are thinking, tbh. I think too many people jumped the gun to over hype them this year and they are expecting more than what is realistic. I also think Stroud is somewhere between last year and this year. Last year was by all accounts amazing and I think the kid is good but as we can see, we have to wait and watch now these things pan out before anointing these kids. Every player needs help around him to succeed and there are no exceptions. Not even Brady, Mahomes or whatever.

If JS and Mac are serious about fixing the o-line than Slowick is the guy to bring in for OC. Houston overreacted on letting him go with massive problems on the o-line and I think that caused the Houston offense to stutter. Also Stroud started off hot but somewhat regressed after coming back from injury.

Likely the best choice from a field of candidates that wasn’t exciting. Sort of was intrigued with the wonderkind kid but that would of been risky.

Im shocked they picked someone that ran a offense that put up lower numbers than the Hawks did on offense other than rushing where they got 20 more yards per game on average. Saints didnt even score 20 PPG this past season.

BUT he does use the TE's and i like that.

Schneider taking TE round 1 confirmed
I think Schneider been told to fix the OL by ownership. What worries me is I also think he's being pressured to fix the QB situation. John sold the idea that the team under performed under Pete, well now the team has to perform better then it did under Pete. Imagine if Pete ends up winning 10 games with the Raiders. This off season is another big one, jobs are on the line. GM, the entire coaching staff, some of the players. John needs to step up and get it done this off season or MrS will be the only happy camper.

Only way that happens if FO picks up 2 FAs on the o-line.
I just don't see Warren falling past Indy.
Warren the only one worth the pick and likely goes ahead of the Seahawks pick. I'm not for a TE at all, but the TE could be of help to the OL if he's a good blocker (think Kittle good as a blocker) as well as a receiving target. Still there are more important positions with greater needs so I certainly hope the Seahawks go a different direction.

I agree the TE helps out the o-line but that's a luxury pick and we don't have that type of team just yet to have those type of picks.
