Or maybe he's just building a better roster.
Andrews needed to go been injured the last two years

Jones is a FA loss it happens

Wide had flashes but was inconsistent

Godchaux IMO was not a loss but a blessing he's gone. Played lazy IMO

Okafor sucked

Who?

Brissett lost his job and we have a capable back up
Agreed.
One of the things that hasn't been mentioned in any of the article I have read, but it is noted in some of the stats is the low number of penalties the FA Oline guys have had.

Our Oline had penalties every damn time they got to the redzone.

They also seemed to have penalties on nearly every first down play or critical third downs.

We spoke last year pre season about getting an O Line coach, far as I know that still has not happened

Last year was just wrong on so many levels. No o-line coach, new HC, new OC, and maybe worst of all the receivers to include the TEs just couldn't catch a ball. There is no explanation for the easy drops. Luckily, it started changing toward the end of the year.

I've said it already I'm excited about this year. The draft is going to be exciting. So many options. NE hasn't been in a position like this as long as I can remember. During the dynasty they drafted late, BB was infamous for trading down and taking players many of us never heard of, instead of building through FA they were usually the one getting r×ped.

I guess that comes with being so bad for the last few seasons.

After being as good as they were for twenty or so years, "our" expectations have been twisted. Being so bad as you state has become unacceptable because of the good "we" experienced.

I think it was never acceptable. It was a case of bad ownership. Even going back to the 70s, there was only a couple times where NE put such bad seasons back-to-back.

It was a case of bad ownership.
If Kraft was considered a 'good' owner from 1994 until 2019, He can't suddenly be accused of being a 'bad' owner because the team is 'bad'.
Kraft didn't draft or sign players. He never stopped BB from spending money and he hasn't stopped Vrabel. Like most other owners, he's in the draft room during the draft and he probably makes suggestions or asks questions, just like any other owner. But he's not a Jerry Jones who does make the picks.

Prior to Kraft there were three other owners.

Original owner was Billy Sullivan who wasn't wealthy and enjoyed all of the privileges from 1960 until he sold the team to

Victor Kiam in 1988. Kiam was the owner of an electric razor company and tried to milk the team of every cent. he sold the team to

James Orthwein in 1992 and his main goal was to move the Patriots to St. Louis. That failed and he sold the team to

Robert Kraft in 1994. Kraft has been the longest tenured owner and the only owner to win a championship.

I wasn't implying Kraft was/is a bad owner. Actually, I'm a fan. As an owner they'll never be able to make everyone happy. I hate reading comments about him being cheap. He solely funded Gillette, bought two planes, multiple upgrades to a young 20 year stadium. Only now with so much money these teams are making do you just rebuild a 20 year old facility. So all the newer stadiums may be more elaborate. Naturally they're, technology has increased, different training equipment/apparatus have improved. How many of those stadiums have relied on the tax payer? If Kraft asked to have financial assistance to improve Gillette, people would botch about that.
So who cares if he buys a new, bigger video screen or improves the light house? It's his money and at least he spends it on what he wants for the team and the stadium/fans. Patriot Place for instance.

He's very charitable as well. The things he does in Isreal for example. So who cares if an old man got a hand job?

As you mentioned he doesn't meddle in football operations. Maybe, he should've on occasion? We can only hope JK is as good of an owner when he takes over.

I'm not always a fan of RK, but him purchasing of the Pats was a masterclass in business, especially how leverage works. The area around Foxboro stadium was dumpy and the stadium itself was dumpy. He purchased the adjacent parking areas, which were grass and dirt, for the cash flow the parking brought. Then when the Sullivan's ran into trouble he bought the dumpy stadium for almost nothing. Orthwein must have thought he could negotiate out of his lease since Kraft paid little for it.

Orthwein was wrong and it was the lease that prevented him from moving the team. The stadium itself was almost worthless, but the Patriots being there gave it a cash flow. However, the only compensation Kraft would accept was full payment of something like 20 years of full lease payments. The team wasn't worth that and any other buyers could see they could never do anything with the team beyond keeping it at its dumpy location... and RK was able to buy the team on the cheap.
