Most of the Patriots free agents will be fairly cheap to resign. A few will have to find a job elsewhere. Also have to make room for nine draft picks.

Why Bourne and Hooper? And if they ship Milton off for pics why not keep Jacoby?
Bourne hasn't been a real threat or worse, a decoy for the past couple of years. there are at least twenty equal #3s out there who are younger and faster and will do whatever it takes to make NFL minimum money.

Hooper is 30 and looks about 37. He's been left alone a few times and hasn't been able to bring in a pass. He's made a couple of important catches. I'd rather see a late round guy like Luke Lachey from Iowa get a chance. 6'6" 247#

Jacoby has cement feet and hopes his passes are going where he thinks he threw them. He might be cheap, if you call $8M cheap. If they keep Milton, he'll be a fine backup. If not, draft someone like Reilly Leonard ND 6'4" and has played well. See if he can be Milton's backup. Save about $6.5M. If you must have a QB with NFL experience, Kyle Trask, Marcus Mariotta, Justin Fields, trey Lance, Jerrod Stidham, and dozen more are available. Need I say more??

I really like Bourne and really wanted to see him succeed in NE. I wouldn't be disappointed if he got 1 more year under Skippy, nor would I be disappointed if he didn't.

Boom 2.

Except not Mariota. Or Trask. I would add Jimmy G before I would even think about Mariota.

Below is the 2025 Patriots Offensive Line Depth Chart.

Notice that David Andrews, Jake Andrews and Ben Brown (All on IR) are not included at Center.

Wallace didn't do badly at LT against the Bills backups, but hasn't been able to show what he can do against any teams' regulars. If Andrews comes back at C, will Strange automatically get his LG position back?

Let's see.......from BK's position, LT is a need. Can't chance anything so, the Patriots have to figure a way to get Ronnie Stanley(31), Alaric Jackson(27),
Jaylon Moore(28) or Cam Robinson(29).

Pick up another LT mid draft, a LG mid to late draft and I think, not 100% sure, that the line with a decent coach and a bit more confidence can protect Maye.

The other position that we know needs some serious tweaking is WR. Again, a Free Agent signing will be the best way to upgrade the position and then to draft an honest to goodness, real college WR. Not a guy that "looks" like he "might" be someone who can do the job.

How many free agents does this team really need to go after? If they could somehow sign Tee Higgins, would there be a need for a Darius Slayton or a trade for a Deebo Samuel? Or would it be wise to ""hope"" a WR might fall to #38 in the second round??

A WR will fall to 2nd round certainly. Do we have the guts and need to pick one and can we pick the right one?

Polk posted a workout video to his Snapchat story with the caption, "That get back year," potentially hinting at some second-season development in the works.
