After trades with LV and Chi this is what I am presented. Who you taking. Consider drafter capital gained

View attachment 392424

The more and more I listen and read about these OTs, I'm just not sold drafting one with the first pick.

Trade back get a skill position player. Take the best available LT in round 2. Or trade back into late round 1 and secure their OT there.
Having traded back twice already with picks 38 69 72 77 would you take Hunter here then trade up to later in RD1 and then take a LT.

Side Note: I think some of what we are reading are from opinionated media journalist I would beware of what the write.

I'm still on the bandwagon for Jeanty or Warren.

I like that they are more involved, getting more potential touches than Hunter will.

Also with the way the FO has stacked the current Oline, I could see a run heavy offense. I wouldn't hate that. Typical McDaniels with short safe passes and the occasional long ball to keep Ds honest.

I am a fan of a great run game with short passes. Also protects the QB, hangs the WR and TE out there on occasion but I do like it

I also like that Jeanty has been playing in Idaho.
He's conditioned to playing in the cold and running in the snow.

Fuck it.
I'm all in on Jeanty.
The UNC kid will suffice too, but I like Jeanty.

Either will fit Scar's requirement for "Score or Sack".

Depending on how they can trade.

I wouldn't take LT at #4.
And if you want Jeanty you are risking not getting him if you don't take him at 4. Personally I don't think he is that much better than the next 4 RBs so I still would like to go LT

So much has to do with how the draft unfolds. I don't think most teams look at RB that early. The early picks need lots of help, QB, WR and OL.

I agree he won't stay in the green room long. But I think if we move back to 8 or 10 you still get him. If not my plan B is Warren.

Then as the draft unfolds jump back into round 1 late and get one of the Ts if need be?

The more I see what NE has done and is doing, they don't need a pro bowl LT. Personally, I don't think any of them are problems.

his total yards after contact were more than the second leading rusher in the country had TOTAL.

So, there's that.
Okay but again there are a lot of things to factor in. Level of competition, amount of carries, was Kansas a run first team. I am not opposed to Jeanty just not sure we need to take a RB before a LT

Hats off to you guys. You all sound sure of your opinions!
I'm not so sure but the top 10 OT's sound like guards or right tackles. Can we risk converting again?
Can you say Caedan Wallace?

Jeanty gone by 6?
Warren gone by 8?

I agree in principle.
Hypothetical: What if all top 10 tackles are not 1st round material? (except at guard or RT)

Boise?

Yeah, it's a crap shoot. We know that.
I am no expert, by any means, of anal eyezing an Olineman's talent.
But from reading the clickbait propaganda of the talking heads, there are no Joe Alts this year, but there may be a Barry Sanders...ish...
There are a number of decent players to be had for a LT.

At the risk of overusing the same old cliche...if any team had accurately predicted Brock Purdy's ability they all would have taken him in the early rounds....And NOBODY would have drafted N'Keal (WTF kinda name is that???) Harry.

I am sure of my opinion...I am not sure my opinion is the right opinion though...
What I am certain of is my vision for best in the draft and who best fits the Pats needs!

By vision I mean Hindsight.
We can revisit in a few years.

So you prefer a skill position vs a lineman no matter what. Either Jeanty or Warren. that worries me because I feel there is a pretty significant drop off at LT past Campbell, Banks and Membou
