Wow down 2-0 in 1st against our Ace. Already at 23 pitches. This team. They can't even fucking throw a ball home from the outfield.
Ha, I just posted the Suarez thing on the other thread. Great money move. It saved us a fortune at least...Yeah, Robles threw that ball like he didn’t even loosen and warm his arm up pregame workout
In other news, Suarez just hit his fifth Homerun of the season a grand slam
Another great Mariners decision to let a guy walk
Can you imagine the strength of our team with Suarez still at third base and Hernandez playing right field
Problem is he doesn't stand out as a black hole in the lineup when the entire lineup is a black hole.Tellez had one good at bat as far as I can tell so far. He's looked really bad at the plate. Like monumentally bad even for the mariners.
This team is unwatchable as built right now.Man this is so hard to watch. They have to bring in guest speakers just to keep people awake.
The thing that surprises me the most is how bad the defense is. You can sacrifice defense for a good offensive player(s), but we all know there is no sacrificing going on there. How long will it take for any article rom a seattle sports journalist to state the following truths:
1) the mariners offense didn't underperforme last year, rather, this is who they are
2) a manager and hitting coach change to fix anything about the offense is like using neosporin to fix a gunshot wound.
3) the Ms are built almost as bad defensively as they are offensively.
I'm guessing it'll take until game 70 of this shit for anything resembling anynof that.
Tip your cap Tip your cap Tip your capM's facing a rightly slider/splitter pitcher who "didn't have a lot of strikeouts last year".
