I'd love that lol.

Made me think about Felix....did he ever say anything bad about his teammates as he threw so many dozens of brilliant starts with next to no offense?
I don't believe he did but I bet driving home many of nights pissed off punching the steering wheel. He deserved so much better.

Gotta admit. This is a new one even for this pathetic team. Game's over before they even get an at bat.

Time to go do something else more productive with my night like take a hammer to my nuts.

The Emerson Hancock experiment needs to end. He's not a starter and maybe at most a long reliever in blowout games.

Tough, play sure, but that wasn't even close in terms of being online with the throw. Third base is not a nothing defensive position. He's going to cost us a lot of runs.

Agreed. And what was up with the wounded duck fly ball that Julio and Robles just coasted after that dropped in the triangle? Very sad effort.

Hundred percent agree

His fast ball has absolute zero movement on it whatsoever. It comes in straight as a string. That’s why major league hitters are able to square it up so easily.

Add in the fact that they can sit on his fastball because his secondary pitches are far below average stuff, plus he cannot throw most of them for strikes and falls behind in the account and has the tube shot a fast ball to prevent walking a guy. All thatjust doubles the scenario that they’re gonna crush his fast ball when he brings it

Detroit’s got some studs in their lineup. You look at the guys they march to go the plate last night all very well built, broad shoulder, strong legs very athletic looking baseball players.

Compare that to Seattle’s lineup with a skinny guy or two a fat guy or two and a second baseman who looks like he’s a sophomore in high school. and you get my point

I still think he has high leverage capabilities in the pen. Every year it’s the same thing in camp, and as was at the future game. When he goes only one inning his fastball ticks way up.

But that start really, really sucks cause teams are hurting for SP and he could’ve been dangled as trade bait when Kirby comes back or Evans is ready.

I was hoping during the offseason if any trades became available he would have been in the package deal. After last night his value is diminishing.

Forgot to add I agree Detroit looks good. It helps they had some high draft picks over the years but seems their farm system of coaches got them ready for the majors. Our guys can develop pitching but lacking on position players.

The fastball works well problem is he can't get the off speed pitches located. By now he should have gotten at least 1 off speed pitch commanded and another with potential. Even coming out of the pen for 1 inning, hitters will adjust quickly and park them pitches.

Agreed with the teams needing pitching help and I think this past off season they should have made a move.

I would like to see the offense jump out to a early 2 or 3 run lead giving Gilbert a little less stress. Can't imagine the pressure he has holding the Mariners up 1 or down 1 with a chance to get back in the game.
