Steelers problems exemplified by Jim Rooney here:
One of the few (or only?) that didn’t go into the family business. He wrote books instead & also did the ambassador thingThe Rooney’s have a Jim?
Jim Rooney said as much.12 days since the loss and still no reports of coachings changes... Just reports of Steelers entering contract discussions with Russ Wilson.
Seems like they are intent to run it back with the same shit.

We'll always root for them, but optimism is at an all time low. This next year is looking like a complete wash.Getting tougher to root for this team……only nitwits from other fan bases seem happy…..
Because Tomlin doesn't care about things fitting together right.I just don't understand why they want Wilson back. Seen lots of reports of the disconnect between Arthur Smith & him. It obviously didn't work out the way they envisioned. Now they want to run it back and actually pay him big money to underwhelm.
The current message they are sending the fans is demoralizing.Because Tomlin doesn't care about things fitting together right.
Play his fucking system, and be happy.
We're also a team that doesn't give a shit about analytics. Some miscellaneous thoughts...
Steelers have one of the smaller coaching staffs in the league with 23 on payroll. Ravens have 40 by comparison. Can't even make a quality over quantity argument here. Steelers just flat out get outcoached all the time.
Locker room & facilities were graded as an F by the players/NFLPA. They like being traditional. But the Steelers are an international brand with one of the biggest fanbases in the NFL. Money should not be a problem to upgrade these things.
I seem to recall recent offseasons they were finally giving into the analytics. As in, they are just beginning to form an analytics team. Maybe we see them grow that again this offseason. We're also a team that doesn't give a shit about analytics.
Gotta go on gut, instead.
Which NFL teams are most, least analytics-advanced? We surveyed 22 staffers around the league
Do the Browns still lead the way in analytics? Which franchises have bought in, and which remain skeptical? We polled NFL teams on advanced data usage.www.espn.com
Positive note. Wilson will most likely be going to Vegas.
I've pretty much lost all faith in Art. Couldn't care less about anything he has to say. Right down there with all of Tomlin's word salad.Rooney prefers Steelers keep Wilson or Fields
Steelers owner Art Rooney II said his "preference" is to sign either Justin Fields or Russell Wilson, but it's "unlikely" the team brings back both quarterbacks.www.espn.com
No crap they are only keeping one. I bet it will be Fields.
Yep, we're running this dumpster fire back.
Teryl Austin Will Return As Defensive Coordinator, Steelers Say
The Pittsburgh Steelers are still expected to make coaching changes, but the coordinators aren’t one of them. Owner Art Rooney II indicated that OC Arthur Smith and DC Teryl Austin are slated to return in 2025. “Mike certainly knows that he’s evaluating his staff and will continue to do so,”...steelersdepot.com
